Romelu Lukaku reportedly prefers Chelsea return this summer

Romelu Lukaku’s preferred destination this summer would be a return to Chelsea, according to reports.

The Daily Telegraph report that the Belgium international has no intention of signing a new contract with Everton and wants to make a move back to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Everton have offered Lukaku a deal worth £140,000 a week but the striker wants to keep his options open.

The report also claims that Chelsea are considering a £100 million double deal for Lukaku and his Everton team-mate Ross Barkley, who will only have a year remaining on his contract this summer.

Everton, who bought Lukaku from Chelsea for £28m in 2014, now value the 23-year-old at over £65m.

Lukaku has been in excellent form for Ronald Koeman’s side this season and is a frontrunner to win the Premier League’s Golden Boot with 19 goals so far.
Antonio Conte wants to bolster his attack with a new signing this summer and has also targeted Alvaro Morata after missing out on the Real Madrid striker last year.
