The Independent is reporting that Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Tiemoue Bakayoko and Jose Maria Gimenez.
While many believe that Atletico’s Antoine Griezmann is the number
one name on club’s hit-list, the manager rather wants to add players
with plenty of fighting spirit.
It is hardly surprising that he is after one of Europe’s hottest prospects, Monaco starlet Tiemoue Bakayoko, who has been heavily linked with a summer move to Chelsea.
The 22-year-old is almost certain to leave Stade Louis II for greener
pastures in the summer, but he will command a sizeable transfer fee.
At the same time, Jose Mourinho wants to reinforce his defence with
Jose Maria Gimenez, the player who has shown a great deal of promise,
but has struggled for playing time this season.
Having made mere 9 La Liga appearances this term, the Uruguayan is
exploring his options and he probably wouldn’t mind leaving Atletico
Madrid for Manchester United.
