Barcelona offered chance to sign Nemanja Matic this summer

rcelona have been offered the chance to sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea, according to reports in Spain.

Mundo Deportivo claims that the Premier League leaders are desperate for the midfielder to sign a new deal at the end of the season, but the player and his representatives are in no hurry to renew.

Barcelona are in the market for a player who is able to cover for Sergio Busquets and the club view Matic as a potential candidate due to his physicality and ability to score goals.


It’s reported that Antonio Conte sees Matic as a key figure in his midfield and wants the 28-year-old to commit to a new contract as soon as possible.

But while a potential move to Barcelona is believed to excite Matic, Chelsea are willing to offer the Serb a significant salary increase.

Chelsea are also willing to back Conte in the transfer market this summer following the Italian’s successful so far.
