REVEALED: The punishment Guardiola will give to his players for Cham

Embattled Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly ready to axe 18 of his players in what will be a huge overall this summer.
This comes after Manchester City's embarrassing defeat at Monaco on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in the second leg tie of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie.

The defeat has prompted the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss to begin the biggest overhaul of a City playing squad since Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Mansour bought the club in 2008.

Guardiola is still disappointed in his wards considering the fact that this will be the first time he is facing elimination in the Champions League round of 16 in his career as a manager.

According to the report, the 46-year-old Spaniard will have a transfer war-chest of £150 million to spend on players particularly defenders.

But the main focus is on out-of-favor or ageing players leaving the club, with seven regular players out of contract in July 2017.

They are Yaya Touré, Gaël Clichy, Pablo Zabaleta, Willy Caballero, Jesús Navas, Bacary Sagna and young centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo.

Meanwhile, winning the Premier League title this season will be a Kilimanjaro for City to climb, but Guardiola and his wards can set their eyes on the FA Cup as they are currently in the semi-finals where they will face Arsenal.
