De Bruyne asked for open training after Jose criticism

Kevin De Bruyne has revealed that he requested for Chelsea to hold public training sessions after he was criticised by Jose Mourinho.
De Bruyne joined the Blues for £7million in January 2012, but the player spent the rest of the season with Genk, and was loaned out the following campaign to Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga.
He was finally afforded a chance to stake his claim at Stamford Bridge under new manager Mourinho in summer 2013, but he failed to impress the Portuguese.
Mourinho criticised the Belgian’s work rate in training, and De Bruyne would leave on a permanent basis in January 2014, having played nine games for the Blues.
He told France Football that he wanted open training sessions to be held after Mourinho questioned his commitment.
“It is true that he said that in the press, yes,” said the Belgian. “That I wasn’t doing what was needed in training.
“It was easy to say that because there was no-one to check it – the training sessions were closed to the public. But everyone knows I am not like that.
“I never let anyone put me down. I say what I have to say, with respect of course. But at that moment, I couldn’t do anything because he would have said I was lying and afterwards he would have used it.
“Did I ask for training to be done in public? I said it, yes, but not to him personally.
