Why Chelsea lost to Crystal Palace - Antonio Conte

Antonio Conte says Chelsea missed Victor Moses in his side's 2 - 1 defeat to Crystal Palace

- Benteke and Zaha cancelled Fabregas opener the give the Eagles the win at Stamford Bridge

- Conte also gave his thoughts on the Premier League title race with nine games left to play

Chelsea coach, Antonio Conte has suggested that his side could have come out with a better result than a defeat if Victor Moses had played against Crystal Palace.

“Victor Moses is an important player because he’s having a great season but Pedro played very well in that wing-back position,” Conte told Chelsea’s official website.

“As wingers, they are very offensive and that showed we wanted to play our football. Pedro had a very good game.”

The Super Eagles attacker is currently nursing a calf problem and was replaced in the starting Fabregas with Pedro Rodriguez playing in his wing-back position.

Conte also added that the title race has become more interesting, with Tottenham cutting their lead to seven points.

“It makes it more interesting in the championship,” he said.

“I always said that the league finishes when you have the mathematical team who won, otherwise you must fight and play every game to win, because in England there doesn’t exist an easy game.”
