Candreva, Icardi goals not enough to give Inter win in Milan derby

The Milan derby ended in a 2 - 2 draw as AC Milan battled back from two goals down to draw at San Siro.

Inter, the home side looked shaky at the start of the match as Carlos Bacca and Gerard Deulofeu missed glorious chances to score within the opening 10 minutes.

Milan would however go behind against the run of play when Candreva anticipated a long ball over the top by Gagliardini, raced in front of De Sciglio before directing a right-footed shot, on the bounce, into the far corner.

The Red and Blacks continued to create chances and were unlucky to find themselves two goals behind just one minute before half-time.

Icardi played a neat one-two with Perisic who crossed from the left for the Argentina to sweep home.

Milan looked dead and buried but they showed great grit and determination to fight back and leave with a well-earned point.

Alessio Romangnoli pulled one back when he karate kicked Suso's cross from the right into the net.

Zapata gave the derby a fitting finale when he scored in the 97th minute and with the last kick of the game.

A corner was played and every Milan player was in the box including the goalkeeper bar a defender and Zapata snuck in at the far post to pull the game level.

Milan remain sixth on the log one point behind Atalanta in fifth while Inter are seventh, two points behind the Rossoneri.
