Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge optimistic Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummels will be fit to play against Real Madrid
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is optimistic that defenders Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng will be able to overcome injuries in time to face Real Madrid in the return leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday.
Bayern, who need to overturn a 2-1 defeat from last Wednesday's first-leg in Munich, are confident Robert Lewandowski will be able to play after the Poland striker played a full part in training on Sunday.
Hummels suffered an ankle injury in training the previous Sunday, while Boateng was also rested for Saturday's scoreless draw at Bayer Leverkusen due to a thigh problem. Both completed individual training exercises on Sunday.
