Aubameyang unveils weird mask to celebrate derby goal


Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang celebrated a goal in the Revier derby a a mask

- The mask resembles one used during a recent Nike promotional advert

- Aubameyang opened the scoring as Dortmund and Schalke played a 1 - 1 draw

- Dortmund fourth on the Bundesliga table, one behind third place Hoffenheim

Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang took his goal celebration to a whole new level on Saturday, April 1.

The Dortmund striker opened the scoring in the 1 - 1 Revierderby draw at Schalke and unveiled a new mask.


The Gabon striker had previously worn Batman and Spider-Man superhero masks to celebrate goals but this time he took it to a whole new level at the Veltins Arena.

The new mask is bizarre given it is not he did not pay tribute to any caped crusaders on this occasion.

The goal was Aubameyang's 24th goal in as many Bundesliga appearances this season.


Left-back Thilo Kehrer equalized with his first ever senior goal to draw the teams level 13 minutes from time.

The draw leaves Dortmund fourth on the Bundesliga table, one behind third place Hoffenheim.
