Cavani and Di Maria help PSG make history with Coupe de la Ligue victory

The South American duo were on target, along with Julian Draxler, in a 4-1 win over Monaco to secure a fourth successive triumph in the competition
Paris Saint-Germain made French football history on Saturday with a 4-1 victory over Monaco in the Coupe de la Ligue final.
The reigning Ligue 1 champions never looked like surrendering a crown they have now secured in four successive seasons.
They have become the first club to achieve such a feat as their dominance of domestic football continues.
Edinson Cavani bagged a brace for Unai Emery’s side, while Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler were also among the goals.
They sit three points behind Monaco at present, but there are still eight games to be played.

If they were to emerge victorious, then the capital giants would lift the trophy for a fifth year in a row.
